"For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake."
2 Corinthians 4:5
Our purpose is to restore the Church of Scotland and the Scottish Episcopal Church to its confessional roots by upholding the authority of Scripture and resisting the influence of liberal theology. We believe that the church’s foundation lies in the unchanging truths of God’s Word, as faithfully expressed in the historic confessions of our traditions. In an age where compromise often erodes biblical fidelity, we are committed to calling the church back to its doctrinal heritage and to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is carried out through diligent study of Scripture and theology, fostering fellowship that encourages spiritual growth, and bearing faithful witness to the transformative power of the gospel. We aim to equip individuals and congregations with resources to stand firm in their faith, boldly proclaim the truth, and lovingly engage with a world in need of Christ. Together, we seek to renew both the Church of Scotland’s and the Scottish Episcopal Church's vision for the glory of God, the edification of believers, and the salvation of the lost.
At For Christ’s Crown, we are committed to glorifying God in all things and upholding the authority, inerrancy, and sufficiency of His Word as revealed in Scripture. We affirm that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the ultimate standard for faith and life, and the foundation upon which all doctrine must stand.
We seek to turn the Church back to its historic confessions, recognizing them as faithful summaries of biblical truth. Standing firmly on the foundations of Reformed theology, we uphold the doctrines of God’s sovereignty, salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone, and the centrality of the gospel in all areas of life and ministry.
Our beliefs are rooted in the unchanging truths of Scripture and guided by the historic creeds, confessions, and catechisms of the Reformed tradition, including the Westminster Confession of Faith and its Larger and Shorter Catechisms. We affirm the teachings of these documents as they proclaim the glory of God, the work of Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers.
We hold to the historic doctrines of the Trinity, the person and work of Jesus Christ, the necessity of the new birth, and the hope of eternal life. We are committed to the Great Commission, seeking to proclaim the gospel boldly, disciple believers faithfully, and build up the Church for the glory of Christ's crown and covenant.
With humility and conviction, we pledge to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints, striving for the reformation and renewal of the Church to the glory of God alone.
